Topstitching...

All over Blogland, I read all about how topstitching is such a B*tch!  People complaining how their lines aren't quite straight enough....How painful it is to switch out thread....Heck, I've even complained...

But I won't anymore....Try drawing teeny, tiny double topstitching:

I thought fashion school would be more fun.

I'd rather be sewing....

  1. Yikes, great sketch though, Hope you got an "A" on it. I like hearing about your classes, and that teaser picture of the draped sundress....when can we see the rest of it? Your comment about the fabric had me cringing. I have made donations of unwanted, outdated fabric to a local school, the VCU college of Fashion Design and Merchandising, and the image of some poor student being given that fabric and told to use it popped into my head.

  2. Thanks Audrey. I don't think I'll have a finished picture of the draped sundress. It's really rather ugly. I didn't take a picture of it on the dressform it actually fits. I'm excited about my next project though. An awful poly. organza draped wrap skirt.
